Treated ourselves to a new tent. After spending a recent soggy week in a Suncamp XL, we realised a bigger tent was much needed for our growing clan.
We narrowed it down to 3 choices after internet searches and a few tent shows.
1. Vango Vail 7oo (+Big/stable -To Big)
2. Royal Avignon sg 6 (+Roomy -Didnt feel as well built
3. Outwell Montana 6 (+Well built/quality & roomy -Expensive)
Then along came the end of season sales so we are now the proud owners of an Outwell.
£408 got us the tent/canopy/windbreak and carpet.
I highly recommend this tent
It took us around an hour to put it up the first time,we now have that down to 30 mins.
Very stable in the wind and draught and insect free.(if it has more than four legs and is in my tent, it dies)
Canopy with the windbreak around it is ideal for cooking under and there is loads of room inside so the camping table can stay up all the time. Lots of ventilation and good natural light due to lots of windows.
Niggly points - Pathetic central hanging hook and you will need to look after the steel poles as they will be prone to rust.
Plus Points - Side annexe is ideal for the dog or for storage/wet boots. Its tall so i can stand up in all of it.
The tent easily fits 3 kids 2 adults and 1 dog.
